Our server seems to be somewhat back to normal! We had a spike in traffic after another photo of Grumpy Cat was posted in r/pics on Reddit. It brought the site to a crawl earlier. I’ve made some changes to better distribute the content and hopefully prevent this from happening again. I had to expand our bandwidth allotment as well. We have used almost 400 gigs this month! We are on a shared server at StableHost and it has performed well so far; today was the first sign of stress. Hopefully these changes help; otherwise it’ll be time to upgrade. =/
